Development

Dunblane’s excellent transport links to Central Scotland, great schools and its beautiful surroundings make it a popular place to live.

Kippendavie Estate has been closely involved with the development of Dunblane over a very long period. Ochlochy was gifted by Kippendavie Estate to the Council in the 1960s but in recent years, the Estate has redeveloped several former farm steadings and has designed and had built a number of small housing developments, mostly off Glen Road, and also Kippendavie Road. The Estate has planted trees quite extensively to screen residential and other developments, which helps to give Dunblane its wooded appearance. Some of these developments undertaken have been award-winning.

Occasionally, plots of land are available for sale (all with subject to planning permission) for those wishing to build their own house.
